The size requirements are disappointing to say the least. That 24GB download for buying the physical release on Switch is therefore baffling. In regards to delays holding back the release of the Switch version, it's likely 2K's developers need more time to get up to speed with Nintendo's new dev kit.
After doing this procedure and restarting the console. I was able to start the game. I was then prompted to create a player e. Again, I' am not a hard core gamer. So, I don't know if this procedure removes roster updates, system updates or personalized teams etc. Like other individuals on the forum, I did all of the reinstalls, resets and everything else imaginable and the game would get stuck at the downloading update screen with no progression.
Foolish on my part, I never opened the player packs so I lost them. As I said, I'm not a hard core gamer, I just play the game offline. Nevertheless, I hope this works for everyone having this problem. Please remember, you might lose some of your prized data, but at it least the game plays and hopefully for you.
