Universim save file download

What mark will you leave on the ecosystems that existed millions of years before your arrival? Will you use every available resource and expand at an unprecedented pace, or will you methodically create a more sustainable way of life for your civilization?

These are living, breathing worlds where everything is interconnected. We aim to provide you with an unique experience unlike any of the god games you have played before. Every decision you or your civilization makes will have consequences. Your journey begins with a blank slate. There will only be two Nuggets at first, Adahy and Elu. They are the first of their kind, a spark of life that will change the world forever.

As Nuggets progress, their technology evolves alongside them. You will watch as crude stone huts transform into architectural wonders and the fires that once protected your civilization are replaced by the magic of electricity. What kind of god will you be? Will your civilization become heavily dependent on natural resources, consuming fluffy bunnies and nonrenewable resources in equal measure?

Or will you guide them towards a more sustainable future that relies on agricultural proficiency, responsible hunting, and green energy? You have the tools to change everything, and your actions have far-reaching implications. Our procedural world generation is built around the gameplay, and not the other way around. We make sure that fun is always the number one priority.

Every star in the sky points the way to a procedurally-generated planet just waiting to be colonized. With the right technology, any planet can be yours. You can terraform lifeless planets into stunning utopias or simply suck every last drop of natural resources from it before moving on. Due to the nature of our updates, saves are not compatible between different versions of the game.

In other words, saves that were made in version 0. This is entirely due to the drastic changes made to major systems within the game after every patch. Older saves conflict with these changes on a fundamental level, as the logic is completely different.

There is an enormous amount of interconnected systems and complexity happening behind-the-scenes that make backwards-compatibility impossible right now. Consider a major change made to progression in the Research Tree, for example. This is why we unfortunately cannot support older saves at this time, as the underlying tech and systems are constantly evolving and being rebalanced.

Having to constantly backtrack to account for backwards-compatibility would cripple production, considering the size of our team. That is why we will always be keeping the previous two versions of the game active for download via Steam.

We hope you understand. Please refrain from posting bug reports regarding older saves not loading, as that consumes time for our devs who attempt to reproduce and identify the issue.

We will always be as transparent as possible and we truly appreciate you being a part of our community. Please join us on Discord to chat about the game and follow us on Twitter for day-to-day updates. Let us know if you have some great ideas to make the game better or improve certain systems. Your feedback is invaluable! Please keep in mind that you will not be able to change your selection later.

Initially, upon announcement, I thought this game was a revival of the weird and wonderful Maxis games from the 90s. Then I remembered that's already been done - so that can't be it. Much to my surprise, it was a beautiful looking little civilization builder.

The Universim sets the objects of raising your populace - aptly name Nuggets. As all God-Builders, you'll have to use your units to gather resources, build habitats, research technologies and fend off any foes. You'll be involved in every Nugget decision - from the primitive stage of your civilization all the way to the space race.

There isn't anything drastically different from other genre's games except focus on protection and making sure your Nuggets don't do anything stupid. Like God, you'll spend a lot of time whipping your Nuggets into shape. You'll feel more like a fry cook than an almighty deity half the time with the ridiculous sights and sounds that emanate from your subjects. But some real positives make The Universim stand out - mainly being in the detailed personal touch. You do form bonds with your Nuggets, each with their own unique personalities and statistics.

What the game has in uniqueness, however, is overshadowed by similar mechanics of other games.
